En peligro de demolición durante la Revolución Francesa, sirve para diferentes usos antes de ser convertida en "templo de la Ley" (jajaja), para ser finalmente devuelta al culto. En el siglo XIX (atención que en francés se pone con números...), la fachada dañada por las heladas fue enteramente reconstruida en granito.
El monumento se compone de 3 naves cerradas por un gran coro en el ábside semicircular (??) y de un trapsepto poco profundo. Su arquitectura y decoración son de inspiración clásica (s. XVIII). Muestra una fachada ondulada cubierta de columnas, los prominentes frontones coronados de estatuas, las balaustradas y medallones, la vasta cúpula, la majestuosidad de su decoración interior reforzada por la iluminación mediante grandes vanos y el color blanco del estuco.
